Gyukingu Japanese BBQ Kota Damansara Review
Had a chance to visit Gyukingu Japanese BBQ 3days ago after this restaurant was speculated to be good. It was said that Gyukingu provides high quality WAGYU beef at reasonable and affordable price. It is located at Kota Damansara, if you’re coming for dinner please be warned that traffic is not gonna be friendly to you. So be patient, you’ll be there.
I called them up when I was about to reach and the friendly staff told me that they’re located just opposite Public Bank. It was not hard to find but parking was another problem, had to park so far away. This area is always crowded and far from where I stay. I wanted to try the beef Saga so have to drive all the way here.
Nicely decorated restaurant and service was fast too. They gave us menu and we ordered right away.
For Sakae lovers, this section is for you.
Hmm…Kinki Fish Grilled at RM350/pcs, is it worth it? Maybe they have a very good reason to charge customer at that price but No, we didn’t order.
Each table has 1 of These BBQ Charcoal pot, you grill your own beef. Below are the food we ordered.
This is optional, you can order this at RM8 per order, No they will not replenish for you. We ordered to eat together with the Saga Beef, just to try out.
We ordered Special Beef Tongue (Jyo Tan Shio) RM39.80. Those who never try beef tongue or don’t know what is it, don’t be scared as this is also my 1st time. My friend grilled one and put on my plate, as a respect to them, I have to eat it anyway. To my surprise beef tongue tasted just like a normal beef meat. Take it as a different part of the beef.
Unagi Kabayaki RM38 or the Grilled Eel always give us a better mood at the table, with it’s sweetness and soft meat we just love it.
Yukke Sashimi RM27 is made from raw beef, finely chopped and served with yellow egg. Something like Beef Tar Tar. So far the best raw beef served I have tried was in Europe. This Yukke Sashimi reminded me the memory of Europe.
We asked what is the best beef served here and the lady told us Saga Beef. She showed us the frozen beef which weight at 260g. With the much acclaimed to be the Restaurant served the best Yakiniku in town, I was hoping the beef would’ve been the chilled one instead of Frozen.
After about 30 minutes later our Defrosted Saga Beef came, we didn’t wait any longer just grill all of them. I asked for a meat scissors so that I can cut them into smaller pieces.
The fire caused by the fat burned, so be careful with your hand and fingers. I like the beef here and looking forward to come and try different kind of beef maybe not Saga again.
Before we leave, the waiter told us that they will be selling this Imported Musk Melon from Japan at RM280 per melon. You wanna try?
