Ice Q Montain Restaurant Solden Review
We were served with this cute amuse bouche during our lunch that day. It looks like tomato to me, but it is actually a Polenta ball with tomato jelly, basil oil and white tomato sauce. We love every bit of it. Then come my appetizer, variation of local fish, potato mousseline, cream cucumbers and topped with caviar char (€16) . I feel like eating sashimi but European style. It was delicious.
I had this amazing dish for main, Oztal lamb roasted and braised, stuffed oven potato, Thai asparagus and sheep’s cheese (€29). Very nice furnishing, exceptional attention to detail and design.
Some ordered chicken snitzel with salad, it tasted great too. Austrian is famous for Wiener Snitzel (Breaded Veal), so you can choose whichever you prefer, chicken or lamb both are nice.
This is the summer view during lunch hour. I took some photos from inside the restaurant. Hope you like them. One photo from James Bond’s new movie Spectre was filmed. For more summer photos you can check out this post – Ice Q Mountain Restaurant Panoramic View.
After lunch we walked up to the lounge area for coffee and some dessert. I had this special cake made from poppi seed. Is a must try when you are here. If you like taking photos and video, you are going to love the terrace. Many visitors sat outside just to enjoy the sun and breathtaking view of the alps. This restaurant is one of my personal favourite in the world. How often we get to visit Mountain Restaurant in Asia? I have not been to any, and I am not sure if we have. But in Austria they are few and Ice Q is one of them. Stood proudly at 3,048 m altitude, this luxury property can’t wait to serve you their best gourmet menu.
To come here, you need to take the cable car provided at the station below. You have to pay some fee I don’t remember how much.
Miss Tawau’ Review:
Ambiance: 10 (Mountain Restaurant will be full mark of course)
